Dog Tattoos

Dogs have been depicted to mean protection, loyalty, love, and friendship for hundreds of years. Throughout the Middle Ages and the Renaissance period, dogs were a status symbol as well as an indication of trustworthiness. Even earlier in human history, dogs were first represented in North American cave paintings that date back thousands of years.

While dog tattoos are often a tribute to our lost furry friends, many people receive dog tattoos to demonstrate internal determination and a willingness to sacrifice themselves for their loved ones.
